memo will be immediately placed in the operating record as per 15A NCAC 13B .1626 (4) (c) (ii).
Friday, May 8`h 2020 at approximately 1300 hours two of our boundary probes, "U and "C" indicated
high methane levels. Probe "U" was reading 3.9% and Probe "C" was reading 24.8.On Monday, May 11,
2020 staff took readings on both Probes to follow up and both Probes had slight increases over the
weekend. Probe "U" is now at 5.2% and Probe "C" is reading 26.6%.
Upon investigating the high levels, an extraction well near Probe "C" was found to have a broken test
port, thereby reducing the vacuum influence on the affected wells. The test port was replaced. Vacuum
has also been increased at the Probe "U" location to help with vacuum at that location. All systems appear
to be functioning properly at the current time.
We will continue to monitor both locations and keep you informed accordingly.
