Active: Notified LCID Landfill. The ownership of this landfill has changed. *Please complete, record, and submit an
NCDEQ/SWS Landclearing and Inert Debris Landfill Notification Package to the Solid Waste Section Compliance
Officer.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Comprehensive Facility Compliance Inspection
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
None applicable
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection; please see the ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
section below.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1) This Facility is a Land-Clearing and Inert Debris (LCID) Landfill Notification.
2) This Facility is recorded with the Carteret County Register of Deeds at: Book 913; Page 399.
3) This Facility is permitted to receive for disposal:
a. Land Clearing Waste: stumps, trees, limbs, brush, grass, and other naturally occurring vegetative
materials generated solely from land clearing activities.
b. Yard Trash: brush, grass, tree limbs, and similar vegetative materials resulting from landscaping and
yard maintenance.

c. Inert Debris and Untreated Wood: concrete, brick, concrete block, uncontaminated soil, gravel and
rock, untreated and unpainted wood; and
d. Used Asphalt: used asphalt or asphalt mixed with dirt, sand, gravel, rock, and concrete.
4) The disposal area for this Facility may not exceed 2 acres in total size.
5) Signage posted at the Facility entrance has been updated with the new Facility contact name and telephone
number.
6) The access road to the Facility is being managed properly at this time.
7) This Facility is secured by a locked gate at the facility entrance and has controlled access for safety. The gate
was open upon my arrival and an attendant was onsite during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
8) This Facility has been capped and is currently not receiving waste for disposal.
9) A cover crop of native warm season grasses and coppice-type cover has been established throughout the
facility.
10) The area around the toe of the landfill has been cleared.
11) The operator is currently excavating and screening the waste in the landfill. All topsoil is being reclaimed and
all excavated vegetative waste is being staged for disposal with the on site Air Curtain Burner (ACB) system.
12) No off site erosion was observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
13) No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
