Refer to Figures Figures 5 through 7 Refer to Table: Table 3 Refer to Appendix: Appendix A Historical Groundwater Analytical Data: Refer to the following table(s) for historical groundwater analytical data. Refer to Table(s): Table 4 • Predictive Rate of Contaminant Transport: Refer to the October 1997 Integrity Environmental Consultants Comprehensive Site Assessment. Contaminant transport is typically in the same direction as groundwater flow, but with a slower velocity. Refer to the following Tables and Figure: Refer to Table(s): Tables 2 through 4 Refer to Figure(s): Figure 4 through 7 1.2.6 Other Field Data Collected: • No additional field data was collected. 85 Kwik Mart Monitoring Report Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina March 20, 2020 Incident#: 13401 Page 4 2.0 CONCLUSIONS • Dissolved phase constituents of concern were detected in concentrations exceeding the NCDEQ NCAC 15A 2L.0202 standards (2L Standards) in monitoring wells MW-4A, MW- 5, and DW-I during the February 2020 sampling event. • 1, 2-dichloroethane (1, 2-DCA) was detected over the NCDEQ gross contaminant level (GCL) in monitoring well MW-5 during the February 2020 sampling event. 0 Free product was not detected during this monitoring period. • When compared to the August 2019 sampling event, the overall concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has decreased in monitoring well MW-4A and generally increased in monitoring well MW-5. • When compared to the August 2019 sampling event, the overall concentration of VOCs has remained relatively the same in monitoring well DW-1. • The 1,2-DCA concentration in water supply well WSW -Ring Power Crane exceeded the 2L Standard in the previous August 2019 sampling event. Shield was unable to sample WSW - Ring Power Crane during the February 2020 sampling event due to a power outage at the facility. • Dissolved phase constituents of concern remained below laboratory analytical detection limits (Non -Detect [ND]) for the sample collected from monitoring well MW-8AR during the February 2020 sampling event. 3.0 RECOMMENDATIONS Continue sampling of groundwater on a semi-annual basis as required by the NCDEQ in the NORR dated July 18, 2013 [MW-4A, MW-5, MW-8AR, MW-15A (if possible) and DW-I ] and recommend including the sampling of WSW -Ring Power Crane, with the next event report due by September 2020. 85 Kwik Mart Monitoring Report Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina March 20, 2020 Incident#: 13401 Page 5 4.0 STATEMENTS & CERTIFICATION 1 Enter the date the monitoring report was due. 3/31/20. NC 28078 (704)875-9092 QUALIFIERS Project: 85 Kwik Mart Pace Project No.: 92464424 DEFINITIONS DF - Dilution Factor, if reported, represents the factor applied to the reported data due to dilution of the sample aliquot. ND - Not Detected at or above adjusted reporting limit. TNTC - Too Numerous To Count J - Estimated concentration above the adjusted method detection limit and below the adjusted reporting limit. MDL -Adjusted Method Detection Limit. PQL - Practical Quantitation Limit. RL - Reporting Limit - The lowest concentration value that meets project requirements for quantitative data with known precision and bias for a specific analyte in a specific matrix. S - Surrogate 1,2-Diphenylhydrazine decomposes to and cannot be separated from Azobenzene using Method 8270. The result for each analyte is a combined concentration. Consistent with EPA guidelines, unrounded data are displayed and have been used to calculate % recovery and RPD values. LCS(D) - Laboratory Control Sample (Duplicate) MS(D) - Matrix Spike (Duplicate) DUP - Sample Duplicate RPD - Relative Percent Difference NC - Not Calculable. SG - Silica Gel - Clean -Up U - Indicates the compound was analyzed for, but not detected. Acid preservation may not be appropriate for 2 Chloroethylvinyl ether. A separate vial preserved to a pH of 4-5 is recommended in SW846 Chapter 4 for the analysis of Acrolein and Acrylonitrile by EPA Method 8260. N-Nitrosodiphenylamine decomposes and cannot be separated from Diphenylamine using Method 8270. The result reported for each analyte is a combined concentration. Pace Analytical is TNI accredited.
