Previously Griffin Waste Services operated under Permit Number NCS-01241. STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: N/A OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: N/A The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. The inspection was conducted at Griffin Waste Services, Asheville, NC. 2. The following firm trucks were inspected: ID No. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) NC Tag Number Capacity (gallons) FP-2 1FDUF4HT0GED01558 KE-2761 700 FP-14 1FDUF5HY0GEB62811 HK-7493 600 3. The following vehicles were included on the application list but are either no longer used or not used pending major repairs: 16 Ram/3C7WRLAL5GG295423,18 Ford/1FDUF5HYHEB881348, 15 Ford/1FDUF5HT0FEA44213. An inspection will be required if any of these vehicles are placed back into service. 4. The tanks appeared to be structurally sound and bolted to the frame. 5. Valves and access ports appeared to be secure. Caps were present on the access ports. 6. The trucks were properly marked in accordance with the lettering requirements. 7. No leaks were observed.
