The UST Section, Division of Waste Management, Mooresville Regional Office (MRO)
received the March 19, 2020 Monitoring Report on March 19, 2020. The report recommending
continued semi-annual monitoring was reviewed and approved on March 24, 2020. The paper
report copy will be maintained in the MRO. The electronic copy has been loaded to the
electronic document storage system (Laserfiche).
The report indicates:
• Dissolved phase petroleum constituent compounds were detected in concentrations
exceeding 2L Standards and/or Interim Maximum Allowable Concentrations
(IMACs) in MW-2, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-10, DMW-1, DWM-3, DMW-4, and
DMW-5 during this reporting period.
• Overall, constituent of concern (COC) concentrations in monitoring wells MW-2,
MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-10, DMW-1, DMW-3, and DMW-5 have generally
increased since the previous sampling event in August 2019. COC concentrations
have generally decreased in monitoring well DMW-4 since the previous sampling
event in August 2019. Free product was not detected during this monitoring period.
• In water supply well WSW-9, no COCs were reported above the laboratory detection
limits.

The next sampling event shall occur in August 2020. The next monitoring report is due
by September 30, 2020. Please note that sampling and correction action must be conducted in
accordance with the Guidelines for Assessment and Corrective Action for UST Releases. Failure
to comply in the manner and time specified may result in the assessment of civil penalties and/or
the use of the other enforcement mechanisms.
