Dear Mr. Ulishney:
In response to your December 10, 2019 letter concurring with the recommendation to cease groundwater
monitoring at the above -referenced site, and requesting that the groundwater monitoring wells at the site be
properly abandoned, Geo-Specialty Chemicals (GSC) contracted S&ME, Inc. to abandon the wells.
S&ME, Inc., on behalf of GSC, is submitting Well Abandonment Records (DWQ Form GW-30) for the four
groundwater monitor wells at the Owen Farm Borrow Pit project (MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4). The wells were
abandoned by a North Carolina -certified well driller in accordance with NCAC 15A 2C.
