Hi Trudy, thanks for your time and input regarding what is required at the Rocky River Presbyterian Church
site. As requested here is a summary of what will transpire next:
I spoke with Buddy Waller at Barefoot Oil and then Jim Pharr with the Rocky River Presbyterian Church. Jim
Pharr said the church will themselves prepare and submit to you the requested summary letter of the tank
removal. They will attach pictures and describe that samples were not collected because the State did not
require them since contamination remains at the site that cannot be excavated due to jeopardizing the church
structures.
Jim Pharr also said that the church will prepare the State requested Notice of Residual Petroleum (NORP) in
order to close the incident. Therefore Shield Engineering and Barefoot Oil will not be doing anything else on the
project.

It may be helpful to the church if you could e-mail Mr. Pharr the routing to the State's NORP format.

Today I received contact from Dave Stoner regarding a UST closure report. Will you call me at 980-329-6225 so we can
learn what is required.
Samples were not collected from this UST removal because it became clear that contamination extends too close and below a
structural foundation for safe removal.

I spoke with David Stoner late Friday morning. A letter report will be sufficient. We require one sample from
each sidewall and the pit bottom depending on the size of the excavation (every 25 feet).

A question has arisen regarding tank closure at Rocky River Presbyterian Church. Dave Stoner tends to indicate we need a
full closure report while Robbie Baurbor is stating we need a more simple version of reporting.
As we excavate the area (hopefully August 20, 2019) samples will be collected to evaluate contamination from the overfill
release that occurred in December 2018. If no evidence is found to indicate release from the tank itself do we need more than
sampling from beneath the tank?
