RE: METHANE MONITORING RESULTS — FIRST QUARTERLY EVENT — JANUARY 2020
ROWAN COUNTY LANDFILL, PERMIT NO. 80-03
ROWAN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA
Dear Jackie,
Attached are the results from the January 16, 2020, quarterly methane monitoring event conducted at the above -
referenced facility. No methane gas was detected in the facility structures during this monitoring event.
Permanent explosive gas monitoring devices are located in the scale -house and maintenance building. Methane
gas was not detected in compliance monitoring points at concentrations above the lower explosive limit (LEL, i.e.,
5% methane by volume) during the first quarterly methane monitoring event.
The next monitoring event is tentatively scheduled for May 2020. If you have any questions or concerns, please
contact us at 336 852-4903.
Sincerely,
