Good Morning Liz and Roy,
I wanted to let you two know that we just rejected a load that came across the scales this morning at
approximately 09:25. The Scale House Weighmasters noticed a truck they had not seen before and
questioned the driver about the contents of the load. They contacted me to see if we could take it
and I directed them to stand by while I came down. Dan Jarboe (WCD Ops Manager)and I went and
interviewed the driver who told us that he didn't know what the load was. He stated "I just haul it."
He then said he saw a sewer truck next to the box when he collected it. I asked who the generator
was and he told me he thought it was "Vision NC" but wasn't certain. I asked him for a manifest and
he told me that he didn't have one. He volunteered that we could look in the box and even offered
use of the flashlight on his cell phone so we could see. We produced our own flashlight and Dan
looked under the tarp and observed a Light brown/Gray material that appeared to be dried dirt that
was "pasty." Dan said the load smelled like human waste.
I told the driver that we would not accept the load and he didn't seem surprised. He signed our
waste screening form with no issue.

After we rejected the load I called the company's main office phone (Listed above) and left a
message identifying myself and letting them know of the rejection and why. This notification was
made at 10:05 AM.
