Design concerns (if applicable) Current use of structural fill is same as before, to improve 1.5 miles of existing agricultural access roads for the hunting preserve. Recordation was not required. There is approximately 3’ of sand clay covering the CCB in addition to another layer of sand according to David Knox. Structural Fill located on parcel # 14000004; Deed Book:01280/Deed page:1204. Does not appear to have been recorded on the deed from search on Brunswick County Register of Deeds. Did not appear to be any ash migration issues at time of inspection. What is the proximity of the structural fill to receptors? No Past Noted Violations: (What were they and were the violations resolved?) None Additional Comments: Site located in Brunswick County on Green Lewis Road. The properties with the CCB are owned by Warren Knox and David Knox. The CCB was generated by DuPont DAK Americas Plant located in Leland, NC. An estimated 28,000 cy of CCB was to be used for this project. An erosion and sedimentation control plan was submitted to the Land Quality Section in Wilmington on May 9, 2005 by Thomas Schmaltz, Headwaters Inc. The CCB was mixed with approximately 4% cementitious binder and used to improve 1.5 miles of existing agricultural access roads for the hunting preserve. According to Thomas Schmaltz, Headwaters Incorporated, the binder used for this project was kiln dust. There is approximately 3’ of sand clay covering the CCB in addition to another layer of sand according to David Knox. The project was completed sometime in August/September 2009.
