STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:

OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection; please see the ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
section below.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1) This Facility is a closed MSW Landfill and a closed Asbestos Waste Disposal Site.
2) The Facility access road is of all-weather construction and appears well maintained at this time.
3) The site is secured by a locked gate at the Facility entrance.
4) Proper signage is posted at the entry gate stating the permit number and Facility contact information.
5) The closed Asbestos Disposal Area was reviewed.
6) The closed Asbestos Disposal Area is clearly marked and has a well-established cover crop of native warm

season grasses which is mowed throughout the growing season as necessary. This area appears well
maintained at this time.
7) This Facility manages Landfill Gas through a collection system which is plumbed to the active Onslow
County MSW Landfill, permit #67-09 for use at the LFG to energy plant.
8) Overall, this Facility has a well-maintained cover crop of native warm season grasses.
9) The Facility cover crop is mowed throughout the year as necessary. Portions of the cover crop have
recently been mowed.
10) The repaired area on the northwest corner of the landfill noted as having sparse cover during the previous
Facility Compliance Inspection (please see FCIR 6705_INSP_20190809) has been seeded and mulched as
requested.
11) The area of erosion that was observed on the southern sideslope during the previous Facility Compliance
Inspection (please see FCIR 6705_INSP_20190809) has been repaired. No further signs of leachate seeping
were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection. *Please continue to monitor this area to ensure the
repairs completed are successful in preventing future erosion or leachate seeps.
12) No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
13) *Corrective measures are required as a result of this Facility Compliance Inspection.
