Ms. Elliott stated that the new passive vent in the vicinity of MW-1 and GW-1 had so far not been effective at reducing the exceedances that had been showing up during the monitoring events. She explained that additional work would be done to try to pinpoint the cause of the problem and design a solution. 2. The remaining landfill gas and groundwater monitoring wells that had been cited for deficiencies in construction were inspected and found to be in compliance with construction standards. (See the Status of Past Noted Violations section of this report for additional information.) 3. The landfill slopes appeared to be in good condition and the cap had a well -established vegetative cover. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
