Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. The Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF) consisted of one 13,000-gallon above ground steel tank and one 269-gallon steel portable tank for storage of grease septage. The 269-gallon portable steel tank shall only be used in the unloading of vehicles operating under NCS-00829. 2. It appears that set-back/buffer requirements have been met. 3. Appropriate signage (No Trespassing signs) is posted for the site. 4. All weather roads are maintained for access to the site. 5. The tanks appeared to be structurally sound and well maintained. 6. The area around the detention and treatment area was found to be free of spills and debris. 7. Also observed was a small tank that is used a separator in the unloading of grease septage pumper trucks. This item may need to be added to the permit. Please provide a description of the new tank, including capacity and how the tank is to be used.
