The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

1. This facility consists of one 1,550-gallon plastic tank for the storage of portable toilet waste, including waste from recreational vehicles. Storage or treatment of any liquid or solid waste other than those
specified in the approved application for this permit is prohibited.
SDTF-56-03 2. The tank appeared to be empty. 3. A “No Trespassing” sign needs to be placed on the tank per state regulations. 4. A small amount of vegetation was observed around the tank. State regulations require that the vegetation must be cleared to a distance of at least 5 feet.
5. Vectors were not present at the time of inspection nor were objectionable odors observed.
6. The current permit has Mark Mercier listed at the contact on page one. A permit renewal will need be issued with a current responsible party. A permit application is included with this report. The application must be submitted by October 14, 2019. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
