The UST Section, Division of Waste Management (DWM), Mooresville Regional Office (MRO)
received the June 28, 2019 Monitoring and Water Supply Well Sampling Results Report on July 2, 2019.
The report recommending continued semi-annual monitoring was reviewed and approved on August 27,
2019. The paper report copy will be maintained in the MRO. The electronic copy has been loaded to the
electronic document storage system (Laserfiche).

The report indicates:
• Naphthalene was detected at a concentration of 14 µg/L in MW-5 (2L = 6 µg/L).
• Benzene was detected at a concentration of 1.2 µg/L in MW-4 (2L = 1 µg/L)
• WSW- 1A did not detect any constituent concentrations exceeding 2L standards.
• WSW-1 (located on site) is not in use, but has not been abandoned.
• Oxygen released compound socks were replaced in MW-4 and MW-5 during the November 2018
sampling event.
The next semi-annual groundwater monitoring event shall occur in November 2019 with the
Groundwater Monitoring Report submittal due to this office by December 31, 2019. Please note that
sampling and correction action must be conducted in accordance with the Guidelines for Assessment and
Corrective Action for UST Releases. Failure to comply in the manner and time specified may result in
the assessment of civil penalties and/or the use of the other enforcement mechanisms.
