Site Visit Notes and Photolog
9/27/2018 — DWR staff from the MRO conducted a site visit to observe/document site conditions regarding the coal ash
structural fill located on the property formerly owned by Race Park USA, as well as ensure, areas that were previously
exposed were covered as requested. After the site visit on 9/17/2018, MRO communicated with Mr. Gary McPeters,
Construction Superintendent, that the exposed coal ash needed to be covered. Mr. McPeters complied with the request
and had the exposed areas covered. There was rain in the area the evening of 9/26/2018, and during the site visit on
9/27/2018, a few areas were observed with exposed coal ash material. The water had since drained from the sediment
basin leaving a significant amount of coal ash and sediment. DWR also observed the pond to the south of the site had
been drained and was down several feet compared to previous site visits. No coal ash deposits were observed in the
pond area.
