(Typical causes associated with this sourer urc spills and uvertill..s Other: serves as the option to use when the release source is known but du;6 not tit into one of the preceding categories (e.g., for releases from vent Imes, vapor recovery lines, and fill lines) Unknown: identifies releases for which the source has not been determined Definitions of Causes Spill: use this cause when a spill occurs (e.g., when the delivery hose is disconnected from the tank (ill pipe or when the nozzle is removed from the dispenser) Overfill: use when an overfill occurs (e.g., overfills may occur from the fill pipe at the tank or when the nozzle fails to shut off at the dispenser) Physical or Mechanical Damage: use for all types of physical or mechanical damage, except corrosion (e.g., puncture of tank or piping, loose fittings, broken components, and components that have changed dimension) Corrosion: use when a metal tank, piping, or other component has a release due to corrosion (e.g., for steel, corrosion takes the form of rust) Installation Problem: use when the problem is determined to have occurred specifically because the UST system was not installed properly Other: use this option when the cause is known but does not fit into one of the preceding categories (e.g., putting regulated substances into monitoring wells) Unknown: use when the cause has not been determined Beverly, Trudy From: Beverly, Trudy Sent: Monday, March 4, 2019 6:32 AM To: rro@inencoinc.com' Subject: RE: [External] 24 HR Notice Kushner 3416 Little Hope Rd Ryan, If you have had to over excavate, all samples would need to be analyzed by risk based standards. I have a question about the soil sampling for the Kushner property. (Home heating Oil UST) I collected five soil samples (one bottom sample and four sidewall samples) after we completed the excavation. I prepped all of the samples for the "Risk -Based" analysis methods, but have not delivered them to the laboratory, yet. In the past I have been able to limit the number of samples that were analyzed by the "Risk -Based" analysis methods. If I recall correctly, we have closed sites with DRO/GRO samples for the side walls and risk based for the bottom sample. The client is looking for a No Further Action letter. Can you give me some direction in this matter? Please give me a call if that works better for you. Thank You! Ryan R. Osborne, PE INENCO, Inc. 132 W.
