STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
15A North Carolina Administrative Code (NCAC) 13B .0841(g) states: Each detention and treatment facility shall be designed, constructed, and maintained in such a manner as to:
(1) Prevent leaks or the flow of septage out of the facility into the seasonally high water table, onto the ground surface, or into any surface waters;
On August 29, 2018, Triple T Pumping was in violation of 15A NCAC 13B .0841(g) because a 1,000-gallon concrete Septage Detention Tank was observed leaking contents onto the ground.
On November 29, 2018, the old tank had been removed and a new like-for-like replacement tank was observed with no
leaks.
The violation and Notice of Deficiency is resolved.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF) consisted of one 100-gallon, two 4,000-gallon, three 1,000-
gallon, one 6,000-gallon, one 10,000-gallon and one 12,000-gallon tanks. The nine tanks have a total capacity of
39,100 gallons for the storage of untreated and treated waste. In addition, one 6,000-gallon dewatering drum and one 30-yard dewatering box was also observed.
2. A 1,000-gallon concrete tank that was observed leaking onto the ground has been removed and a new like-for-like replacement installed.

3. The spill was observed under a pump used to transport septage has had been remediated.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
