NCAC 13B .0505 (5)(b) states, "Surface water shall not be impounded over or in waste." During the
inspection, several areas throughout the landfill had water ponding over waste. These areas were mostly on either
side of the access road. Repairs need to be made so that surface water does not impound over waste.
2. NCAC 13B .0505 (4)(b) states, "Adequate erosion control measures shall be practiced to prevent excessive
on -site erosion." There are areas of slight erosion on the slopes of the closed MSW that need to be repaired.

3. The site had been mowed and no woody vegetation was observed growing on the landfill. Good job.
