ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
At this facility there are two notified LCID landfills, N1089 and N1104.
Harris Trucking is actively pursuing a full LCID permit from the Solid Waste Section.
The notified sites are located on separate parcels and meet all required property line buffers.
Unacceptable waste was not observed during this inspection.
The edge of waste markerswere in place and clearly defined. Very good.
Ensure proper drainage is in place to prevent water from ponding around the LCID foot print.
Side slopes shall be maintained at no steeper than a 3 to 1 ratio.
Facility sites are very well sloped.
Per 15A NCAC 13B .0566 (3) Solid waste shall be restricted to the smallest area feasible and compacted as densely as practical into cells.
Per 15A NCAC 13B .0566 (4) Adequate soil cover shall be applied monthly, or when the active area reaches one acre in size, whichever occurs first.
Facility staff is actively working to cover slopes and working faces with soil cover.
Seeding and erosion control is needed to establish vegetative cover sufficient to restrain erosion. See 15A NCAC 13B .0566 (6).
Corrective measures are necessary as a result of this inspection and shall be completed within 30 days’ receipt of this report.
