Ralph,
I have a few questions for the file on this site.
From the Phase II report, it seems like the tank was closed in -place in the early to mid-2010s. Do you have records for
this closure?
We do not. The tank was closed in -place by others and no samples were collected or report prepared as there
was no evidence of impact. This was the purpose of our investigation. The lack of information associated with
the closure activities and no information regarding the potential for a release were identified as an
environmental concern in our Phase I. The Phase II soil and groundwater samples were collected to evaluate
subsurface conditions in the area of the tank.
Was the heating oil tank drained at the time the tank was closed?
According to NAPA Auto Parts personnel familiar with the UST, the tank was emptied and cleaned as part of the
closure activities.
Was the tank filled with material and/or sealed at the time of tank closure?
• The tank was reportedly filled with inert material and the fill port was removed from the surface and capped
below grade. H&H did not observe obvious evidence of a fill port at the surface at the time of Phase I Sie
reconnaissance or subsequent Phase 11 sampling.
