NOTICE OF GROUNDWATER SELECTED REMEDY
Greenway Waste Solutions at North Meck C&D Landfill Infill and Phase I 15300 Holbrooks Road, Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina 6013-CDLF-1993

The North Carolina Division of Waste Management (Division) has received the selected remedy to address groundwater and landfill gas contamination at the Greenway Waste Solutions at North Meck C&D Landfill (Infill and Phase I) located at 15300 Holbrooks Road, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Greenway Waste Solutions at North Meck, LLC submitted the North Carolina Solid Waste
.0545 Groundwater Corrective Action Permit Modification Application dated March 2019 on March 14,
2019 (FID 1286457). The Division is responsible for evaluating and approving selected remedies and is soliciting public comment on the proposed selected remedy that has been proposed for this landfill. The proposed
selected remedy includes an active gas extraction system and monitored natural attenuation (MNA)
to address environmental contamination at the landfill. Other remedial alternatives that were considered are also discussed in the Assessment of Corrective Measures dated May 2018 (FID 1213465).

remedy or request a public hearing. All comments shall be submitted in writing. Also, a request for a
