Stone Import:
• ABC stone was imported from the Wake Stone Moncure Quarry:

Soil Testing Methodology:
• The samples were collected as "grab" samples from the soil stockpile at the Moncure
site. They were collected from approximately 6 inches below the surface of the pile at
three separate elevations from the pile (approximately 3 feet from top of pile, midway up
pile, 5 feet from bottom of pile) of an approximately 15 feet tall stockpile. Sample
locations were randomly determined based on proximity to where import soils would be
removed from the stockpile. The soil stockpile appeared homogeneous from our site
observations. Latex gloves were changed between the collection of each individual
sample, and samples were collected utilizing plastic 5 gram plunger provided in Pace
Analytical Labs sampling kit.
Managing Onsite Soil:
• The portion of the "Land Farm" area containing hazardous substances was separated
from the construction site with a temporary fence; no soils from this area were relocated
on or off site.
