Jim Knowles called to indicate that they were unaware of the requirement for an EMP and
apologized. The EMP was finalized on 2/9/2017, but Spec -Con, his firm had done the following:
• Expanded parking lot as per the approved site plan
• Installed tree protection
• Demolished concrete paving/slab footing
• Excavated soil along the east wall:
o No visual contamination in soil
o Found drums laying on sides that had been obscured from view due to vegetation
— these drums were empty and labelled as soy -based ink drums
• They would require about 1,600 cy of imported ABC stone for subgrade work — asked
him to obtain samples for any soil or fines that would be imported to the property.
