Charlotte.

Returned Mr. Vidhya's call. Mr. Vidhya's is a broker/realtor who has handled two transactions with this
property. Mr. Vidhya stated that paperwork for the property stated that the home had electric heat and
the current owners had only owned the home for about one month. I relayed to Mr. Vidhya that the
owner of a heating oil tank at the time a release was discovered was the responsible party for cleanup.
Date: 6/25/2018 or 6/29/2018, Time: 1:30pm
Caller: Home Owner, Phone Number: (704) 451-0523
Phone call from the home owner stating that they had received the NORR letter. The caller stated that
they were not notified that a heating oil tank was located on the property when it was purchased and
that they did not have funds to perform cleanup. I explained that under current guidelines, the tank
owner at the time of the discovery of a release was the responsible party for cleanup. I expressed my
concerns regarding the proximity of the release to the crawlspace of the home and the threat of vapors
entering the home and that free product was running along the ground surface onto a neighbor's
property.
Date: 8/7/2018, Time: 9:52-10:02am
Caller: Trudy Beverly (NCDEQ-DWM-UST)
Phone call to home owner about not receiving a response to the 10-day letter mailed on 7/11/2018.
Asked for a written response to the letter. Asked for permission to enter the property to look at the
tank area to see if conditions have changed from the initial reporting by Charlotte/Mecklenburg. The
owner stated that they tank is currently only filled with water and that no more petroleum product left
