On January 3, 2011, I received your electronic correspondence which included your request for an extension to the
demonstration period for the proposed alternative cover material, Posi-Shell. The demonstration project was originally
approved on June 25, 2010. The demonstration period was originally set to expire on December 26, 2010. Your letter
requested that the demonstration period be extended until March 31, 2011 with the Demonstration Report to be submitted
within 60 calendar days after the March 31; 2011 demonstration period end date as the first application of the proposed
alternative cover did not occur until September 22, 2010.
This letter approves your request to an extension of the demonstration period as requested. Be sure to refer to the
"Alternative Cover Material Demonstration Authorization Letter" dated June 25, 2010 for specific monitoring and
performance requirements for the proposed alternative cover material.
