The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
01 - This facility has required signage and has locking gates at the entrance.
02 - The service area is Pasquotank and Camden Counties.
03 - The access roads are constructed of all-weather materials.
04 - Waste is being transported to WM-Atlantic Waste Disposal Landfill in Waverly Va. or transported to East Carolina
Regional Landfill (permit# 08-03) in Aulander, Bertie Co.
05 - Leachate tanks are being pumped out on an as needed basis by Albemarle Septic Service, LLC. Tanks
inspected daily. Plenty of storage today.
06 - The Certified Transfer Station Specialist and 1, MOLO listed below with expiration dates included.

07 - Windblown trash was not an issue at this facility.
08 - Screening records were reviewed and are up to date. 09 - No leaks found from stored trailers waiting to be transported to the Landfill. 10 - The tipping floor is kept clean. Even today with rainy conditions the tipping floor was clean when the un-
announced inspection was started.
11 - The permit (issued 5/27/2015& exp. 2/26/2020) was reviewed and the Operations plan was reviewed. Several changes are needed to be made for the renewal. Be sure that no later than August 26, 2019 you notify the section for your permit renewal. This was discussed with Brad and staff.
12 - Facility has 2 available fire extinguishers (insp. 10/2018) and one, 1inch hose for fire suppression on the
tipping floor. 13 - The trailer loading bay was free of waste and clean during operating hours. 14 - Operating hour for this facility are: Monday – Friday, 8am to 4:30pm and Saturday, 8am to 12pm.
15 - Pasquotank County hauls its own waste. Always has enough trailers on site to handle any overrun of incoming
waste.
16 - Scrap metal is pulled from the waste stream at this facility and is placed into containers for recycling. 17 - Overall management of this facility is Very Good. 18 - Digital pictures were taken during this inspection and some attached to this report.
