Hi Matt,
Thanks for speaking with me by telephone just now.
The attached EMP is approved under the following conditions:
Fuels and lubricants stored at the site must be contained within leak‐proof secondary containment systems.
Fuel leaks must be immediately contained and captured.
The attached EMP has my signature affixed on page 14 based on the above conditions being included in the project
specifications.
[I did not see notes or references to fuels or spills in the plan sheets or EMP.]
Please let me know of any additional issues.
Thanks,
Geof

Geof and Sharon,
Please find the attached Environmental Management Plan for Building Improvements for the above site (#17047‐13‐
060). This is the Charlotte site that we spoke about together last week at Geof’s desk. The good news is that the
planned subsurface work is not in known or suspected contaminated locations.
This EMP review has a very short timeline because the construction work has been awarded and the contractor is
waiting on the go ahead. In addition, they need to meet tenant demands and lender requirements on the building
improvement schedule. They are planning to start work at the site which could include subsurface disturbance on
8/31/16. Therefore, if you can respond to this submittal early next week, that would be super. We also need to sample
some import soil and the planned sampling is noted in the attached EMP. The import soil will not be brought to the site
until we obtain lab results, which will be provided to you.
I look forward to hearing form you. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt
