Pleasant Maintenance Yard 150 Dutch Rd (SR 2604), Mount Pleasant Cabarrus County Incident Number: 14987 Risk Classification: High Dear Mr. Walston: The UST Section, Division of Waste Management (DWM), Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) received the December 6, 2018 Groundwater Monitoring Report on December 27, 2018. The report recommending conducting at least two (2) additional sampling events of monitoring well network to monitor for temporal trends particularly in monitoring well MW-6R and obtaining top -of -casing elevations via a survey of monitoring wells TP-1, TP-2, MW-4R, and MW-6R during the next sampling event was reviewed and approved on February 5, 2019. The paper report copy will be maintained in the MRO. The electronic copy has been loaded to the electronic document storage system (Laserfiche). The report indicates: • The groundwater flow direction in the shallow aquifer (3 to 25 feet bls) is estimated to be to the north. • C11-C22 Aromatics were detected at a concentration above 2L Standards in MW-6R. • Compounds were not detected above 21, Standards in the other nine monitoring wells Sampled. • There was no visual evidence of water supply wells within a 500-foot radius of the site. Two water supply wells were visually observed within 1,000 feet to the north of the site. WSW-3 was sampled (below detection limits). WSW-2 did not respond to the sampling request. • Dutch Buffalo Creek is located approximately 300 feet to the west of the source area. • Based on measured groundwater concentrations, petroleum vapor intrusion is likely not a concern for this site. The next semi-annual groundwater monitoring event shall occur in May 2019 with the Groundwater Monitoring Report submittal due to this office by June 30, 2019.
