Setback requirements discussed in previous audits were maintained at time of previous audit (staked markers), which stated: Continue to maintain the following setback requirements: • A 50 foot minimum buffer between property lines for Type I facilities; • A 50 foot minimum buffer is required between perennial streams/rivers; and A site shall not cause a discharge of materials or fill materials into waters or wetlands of the state, discharge pollutants into waters of the state, or cause non point source pollution of the waters of the state. NOTE: the 50-foot minimum buffer required between product/mulch/processing and perennial streams/rivers had been violated at the time of the August 2, 2010 site inspection. Waste piles appeared controlled and free of unacceptable waste streams. Please continue to maintain a clean waste stream (no plastic or other unacceptable materials). No grass/leaves observed. The Town of Columbus is maintaining YWN-75-003 located off Watertown Road for the composting/windrowing of yard trash (solely leaves).
