STATUS OF PERMIT:
Active, Life of Site Permit, Issued February 20, 2017. Combined with 2803-CDLF-1995.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Partial Facility Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:

OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
None
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
01 – Tipping floor was clean during operation hours. 02 – Behind the West push wall has been cleaned except for the metal wall. There is a broken electrical box that needs
to be replaced to ensure safety of staff when washing this wall. 03 – The East push wall area needs a bit more attention when cleaned (Daily). Removal of some unused items may help
for better cleaning.
04 – Leachate drain in Loading Bay #1 has 1 grate that needs attention. Bay #2 is ok. 05 – Certified Transfer Operations Specialist: Kelvin L. Wrighton, expired 11/5/18, but has taken renewal class on 11/14/18 and has not received his certificate. Mike Chesson, expires 5/18/21.
06 – Dare County staff is now removing the CFC’s from white good. Red X’s are being placed on items when removal has been done and others are kept upright until the CFC is removed. After the CFC is removed items are placed into the
scrap metal pile for removal.
07 – The windblown trash issue was minimal today. 08 – The trash was being picked up during this inspection. The area behind the chain link fence still has OLD trash to be
removed.
09 – No trailers were noted to be leaking leachate during this inspection. 10 – Overall management of the Transfer Station is improving.
11 – Digital pictures were taken during this inspection with some attached to this report.
