Hi Carolyn – this is mostly fyi but call me if you think we should discuss. Later this year
Charlotte Water will be upgrading the sewer line along Doby Creek, at back of this site.
They called me to discuss the project. The sewer line is outside the known plume of soil or
groundwater contamination. Charlotte Water has the BFA and reviewed the LUR’s for this
site, and don’t believe they will be in any conflict.
This sewer line is to support continued development (including new Brownfield sites!) in
the northeast part of Charlotte, along the new light rail line.
We spoke about this site last year for a bridge over I-85 project. That project is still in
design.
