Industrial Waste Landfill Annual Report
Dear Ms. McKee:
Attached is the completed Industrial Landfill Annual Report form for Duke Energy’s Marshall Steam Station Industrial Landfill No. 1 (Permit No. 1812) for the past year (7/1/2017 – 6/30/2018).
The landfill accepted waste from Duke Energy’s Marshall Steam Station. A total of approximately 441,692 tons of waste was received by the landfill during the most recent twelve month period. Since the landfill went into operation and through the most recent survey on May 8, 2018, approximately 1,423,211
cubic yards and 1,808,930 tons of waste have been disposed in the landfill.
As required by G.S. 130A-309.09D(b), the County Manager for any county that generated waste for
disposal to this landfill is sent a copy of the Annual Report. Therefore, a copy of this Annual Report is being provided to the County Manager for Catawba County.
