Dear Al:

Attached to this letter is the landfill gas migration monitoring results for the first
quarterly event of 2015 at the Piedmont Landfill in Kernersville, North Carolina. Ten permanent
gas probes, eighteen bar-hole probes, and one on-site structure were monitored on February 6,
2015. Readings were uploaded to WM’s LGMS system. Additional readings were taken on
February 9th, to ensure results matched location IDs in the LGMS. There was no exceedence of
the LEL in the compliance network or on-site structure. Tables are attached to this report to
comply with current NC DENR requirements; however, NC DENR notification is not required
based on no detections of methane and no exceedences of the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL)
during the event.
