ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The current Septage Land Application Site as permitted consists of Field 1 (21.4 acres), Field 2 (13.2 acres), Field 3 (21.5 acres) and Field 4 (7.4 acres) with a total of 63.5 acres. Field 2 was remeasured during the previous inspection to account for
a water supply well and stored farm equipment.
2. The fields are permitted for land application of domestic septage and grease septage.
3. The site had accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application fields covered under the permit.
4. Field 3 had cattle and not currently used for land application. Due to recent rains, no land applications were being made on the day of inspection. Fields 1 and 2 were not being used. Field 3 was being used for recent land applications.
5. Appropriate signage was displayed.
6. Disposal area boundaries were delineated with permanent markers. Field 4 will need to be reviewed for correct placement
of boundary markers during the next inspection.
7. All septage discharges appear to have been made within the disposal area boundaries.
8. Fields 1, 2 and 3 had fescue as the established crop according to the nutrient management plan (NMP). The crop appeared to be adequate; however, weed control must continue to maintain 80% crop coverage.
9. Seeding and weed control had been done on Field 4 and the fescue has been re-established. Approval was given to
resume use of Field 4 during the inspection.
