Partial Facility Compliance Inspection

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS;
01 – This YWN is currently in clean-up mode from years past.
02 – Be sure that ALL NON-CONFORMING waste is removed from all YW loads and taken to your Transfer Station. 03 – Grinding of large land clearing waste is on tract.
04 – Facility has a locking cable to keep the public out. Hoping to add a solid gate in the future.
05 – Edge of waste markers are to be installed soon. 06 – Signage has been placed at the entrance. Also, facility has paved an apron at the entrance.
07 – Facility has added a guard shack and is currently having additional signage made to be attached to this shack. 08 – It appears that 90% of old yard waste has been utilized for County and The Town of Edenton. 09 – Some grade work still to be done. Waterway to be added for storm water drainage in the near future.
10 – This site is looking better with each site visit as weather allows. 11 – Digital pictures were taken during this inspection.
