ADDITIONAL COMMENTS;
01 – This Follow-up Facility Compliance was announced. 02 – Security is provided by a locking gate. Need to put a sign with contact information in the event of an emergency.
03 – Site is not open to the public. Only the Town of Kill Devil Hills has access to use this site.
04 – For the most part, the road is made of all-weather materials. 05 – Temperature probes were put side by side and checked. John’s probe to be calibrated due to a small reading
difference from Lynn’s. Both probes were reading over the required 131 degrees. 06 – All ground material is placed in windrows. 07 – Records were reviewed during this inspection and meet the requirements.
08 – All non-conforming waste has been removed. 09 – Overall site appears to be managed well.

Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
