OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: 1. .0838(a)(18) Approved nutrient management plans shall be followed. Permit Condition 2 This site shall be operated and maintained in accordance with the nutrient management plan. A significant amount of vegetation other than fescue (the approved cropstand) is present on both permitted fields. This was previously noted on the audits of 7/27/2017 & 12/11/2017 with no apparent improvement in the cropstand. Contact your local extension agent or regional agronomist for a site visit. Provide this office with a crop evaluation & needed corrective actions advised by the agent or agronomist. Failure to improve the fescue cropstand may result in site closure. Field markers appear accurate on both fields. It appears that the approved setbacks are being met but were not measured at this time. No sign of land application outside the permitted boundaries. 3. No sign of recent or heavy application. No odors noted. 4. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate. 5. Enclosed is a 2018 class schedule – register for one of the remaining locations (if you have not already attended a class) to obtain the required training hours (4 firm hours, 3 land app hours) 6. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
