OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection; please see the ADDITIONAL COMMENTS section
below.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1) This Facility is a Land-Clearing and Inert Debris (LCID) Landfill Notification.
2) This Facility is recorded with the Carteret County Register of Deeds at: Book 913; Page 399.
3) This Facility is permitted to receive for disposal:
a. Land Clearing Waste: stumps, trees, limbs, brush, grass, and other naturally occurring vegetative materials
generated solely from land clearing activities.
b. Yard Trash: brush, grass, tree limbs, and similar vegetative materials resulting from landscaping and yard
maintenance.
c. Inert Debris and Untreated Wood: concrete, brick, concrete block, uncontaminated soil, gravel and rock,
untreated and unpainted wood; and
d. Used Asphalt: used asphalt or asphalt mixed with dirt, sand, gravel, rock, and concrete.
4) The disposal area for this Facility may not exceed 2 acres in total size.
5) This Facility is secured by a locked gate at the facility entrance and has controlled access for safety. The gate was open
upon my arrival and an attendant was onsite during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
6) *Signage posted at the Facility entrance should be updated with the new Facility contact name and telephone number
clearly displayed.

7) The access road to the Facility is being managed properly at this time.
8) A cover crop of native warm season grasses and coppice-type cover has been established throughout the facility. Some
brush and woody vegetation has been established on portions of the landfill sideslopes.
9) Portions of the landfill toe and sideslopes have been cleared of woody vegetation. The area around the toe of the landfill
has been mowed.
10) No unpermitted wastes were observed on the landfill during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
11) The new Facility operator plans to excavate and screen the waste in the landfill in order to reclaim all topsoil and burn any
remaining vegetative waste with an Air Curtain Burner (ACB).
12) ACB permitting and operations were discussed during this Facility Compliance Inspection. *No burning operations may be
conducted until all required permits have been issued.
13) Marketable softwoods have been staged in an area adjacent to the landfill. This material will be hauled to the mill in
Craven County.
14) Marketable hardwoods have been staged in an area adjacent to the landfill for use as firewood.

15) No off-site erosion was observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
16) No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
