Notified site, no permit required. Renewal Notification Forms must be submitted by June 1st. every year.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Requested by David Lane for technical help understanding requirements.
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS;
01 – On July 16, 2018 Mr. David Lane – Murfreesboro Public Works Director called John College- NCDEQ-DWM-
SWS-FOB to come to Murfreesboro to help him with the requirements of 2 Yard Waste Notified sites. 02 – On July 18, 2018 John College met with Mr. Lane at the Public Works Office – 200 Sycamore Street,
Murfreesboro, NC at 9:30 Am.
03 – Inspected / Evaluated this YWN site. 04 – Edge of Waste Markers are present to ensure that this site is in compliance with the less than 2 acres requirement
for Notified sites. If site gets 2 acres and larger, you will need a Permit. Currently this site has plenty of room. 05 – The site is secured by means of a locking pipe gate. 06 – Site has good signage at the gate.
07 – Large YW is separated (in windrows) from leaves, so they can be used as Mulch after grinding and distributed without going composting requirements.
08 – Small YW is also in windrows and will have to be used as compost and follow compost rules.
09 – John College went over the compost rules and gave David Lane copies of the rules and other documents to help him manage this site.
10 – The windrows are in compliance with the size requirements and has fire lanes in the event of a fire.
11 – The remaining acres at this site have recently been logged. 12 – Digital pictures were taken during this inspection.
