The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. Noted a possible grease burn at the front of Field 2, near the access path on the left side. Ensure that grease
trap waste is diluted at least 1:1 or more to prevent crop damage.
2. Field 1 has been cut, Field 2 needs cut. Noted hay bales along the perimeter of the site, a few older bales along
the access path on the left side, newer hay bales along the fence on the right side of the site. Bales need to be
removed from the site in a timely fashion. The site shall be managed as two fields as per the current permit.
3. The 5’ setback along the woodline along the back of the site needs to be reestablished, the vegetation has
spread out towards the field & is obscuring some of the field markers. Cut the adjacent woodline back to
have the required 5’ setback and which will make the field markers visible. Also noted that the corner
post on Field 1 nearest the trailer is partly hidden by vegetation – remove the vegetation from around the
post.
4. Noted scattered thin areas of groundcover and vegetation other than bermuda/rye. Continue efforts to improve
the cropstand & control weeds in the coming months. Contact Georgia Love for advice.
5. Land application occurring on Field 1. No sign of heavy or recent application. No sign of land application
outside the permitted boundaries. No odors noted. It appears that the approved setbacks are being met but were
not measured at this time.
6. Field markers appear accurate however there is still a missing post at the front corner of Field 1 (130’ from
the centerline of the road and 500’ from the trailer) – noted this on the last audit of 12/12/2017 with no new
post.
7. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate.
8. Hunt Septic Cleaning has an authorization form to discharge septage at this site in 2018. If Hunt Septic
Cleaning is discharging on this site then land application site logs shall be submitted monthly to this office per
Rule .0838(e)(3).
9. Soil samples (2 boxes for this site) shall be taken by the permit holder this fall.
