1. The Septage Land Application Site consists of two fields totaling 6.5 acres with Field 1 (3.1 acres) and Field 2 (3.4 acres).
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

Looking at Field 2 from Field 1 2. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage and grease septage.
3. The site is located on Dogwood Vista Road and had accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application
fields covered under the permit.
4. Appropriate signage was displayed at the entrance to the fields
5. Disposal area boundaries were delineated with permanent markers.

6. All septage discharges appear to have been made within the disposal area boundary.
7. The waste appeared to be evenly distributed throughout the fields. 8. No objectionable odors were observed.
9. As a reminder, the fescue must be cut as hay when it reaches approximately 12 inches in height or just before seed head emergence. The fescue was at least 24 inches in height and must be harvested before any additional land applications.
