Dear Mr. Yvars:
The County's intention of changing the operation hours of the Union County Transfer Station will be considered
as an operational matter and shall not subject to any permit action at all. To make the change official, please
send in a written request (an e-mail or letter). The Solid Waste Section will approve the request upon receiving
the request and place the info to the file system. There is no permit fee associated with this action at all. Please
contact myself if you have any question of the permitting processes. Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Hello Teresa,
Hope all is well. In an effort to better service the haulers using our transfer station we are kicking around the
idea of opening at 6 AM rather than 7. We usually have 8-10 trucks waiting to dump their last load from the
day before or, in the case of ‘front load’ dumpster trucks, loads they collect in the wee hours of the morning.
Would something as simple as this be considered a ‘permit modification’ resulting in paying $3,000 to change
it? Also what would be the process of changing the hours…is it just a written request to do so?
Thanks in advance for your input.
