Solid Waste Director John College – NCDEQ-DWM-SWS STATUS OF PERMIT: Notified site – No permit required PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Follow-up Facility Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 3 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS; 1 – This follow-up inspection was conducted to see progress made. 2 – Corner markers have been installed by a surveyor so waste can be moved inside of compliance boundaries. 3 – Waste is currently being moved back inside of the compliance boundaries. Not onsite during this inspection. 4 – Facility staff is pulling non-conforming waste into piles for removal to a permitted facility. 5 – Mr. Jones has updated John College on the status of the grinding of the concrete. 6 – Contact has been made with a grinding company and will start grinding as soon as the grinding company is able to move from a site already grinding at. Will commence the grinding in or around 2 months to ensure setbacks are back in compliance. 7 – Mr. Jones will keep John College or Andy Davis on all progress. 8 – Some concrete & wood was noted into a ditch on South of property. No Solid waste is allowed to be put into water. Please remove ALL Waste that is in ditch back inside of compliance boundaries. 9 – Digital pictures taken during this inspection.
