Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. “No Trespassing” signs are posted at the entrance, however they are on the gate and when the gate is open the sign is not visible. Move a “No Trespassing” sign to another location on the fence so that it is always visible. 2. A “Stanley Environmental” truck unloaded grease during this visit. Walked thru the waste treatment process with Mr. VanShaick. 3. The above ground tanks appear structurally sound. 4. It appears that septage is being transferred to/from the facility in a safe and sanitary manner. No spills or leaks noted. No apparent vectors or odors. 5. The approved setbacks are being met. No apparent physical change in facility. The access road is adequate. 6. The required 5’ cleared radius (free of excess vegetation or debris) is present around all above ground tanks. 7. Please submit the permit renewal application as per the notification letter dated February 7, 2018. As part of the submittal, authorizations for all solid or liquid disposal from this facility are required including the screening debris. 8. Did not review treatment logs at this time.
