Partial Facility Compliance Inspection

OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
None

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS;

01 – Facility has adequate signage and locking gate.
02 – Roads are made of all-weather materials and in good shape.
03 – Incoming load weight tickets have all required information.
04 – Screening records are being kept, reviewed and has required information.
05 – Tipping floor is being kept clean during work hours and washed at the end of the day.
06 – Some cleaning is needed in the trailer load out area. Back wall has an I-Beam with old accumulated waste on it.
This also needs to be cleaned at the end of each working day.
07 – Leachate collection system appears to be in good working order.
08 – Windblown trash was at a minimum during this inspection.
09 - Facility has 4 Certified Transfer Station Operations Specialist: Charlie Rome: expires 3/12/2019, David Lowe:
expires 5/25/2019 and James Bolen: expires 10/9/2020.
10 – Onsite operator during this inspection was Charlie Rome.
11 – Yard Waste is now being composted in good order. Has windrows not exceeding height requirements, being turned
and has temperatures being taken. Did not review all temperature records. Pictures of the temperatures readings were
reviewed.
12 – Temperatures were taken today using John College’s probe. Pictures taken by Jeff Perry to record. Piles are
working good.
13 – Scrap metal area is also being managed better. Pile is smaller.
14 – White goods containing CFC’s are now being kept upright. Did not review records of CFC removal
during this inspection.
15 – Scrap tires are being loaded into open top box trailers.
16 – Digital pictures taken during this inspection.
