STATUS OF PERMIT:
Active – issued on May 03, 2017. Life of site permit.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Partial Facility Compliance Inspection.
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
None
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
None
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS;
01 – Permit issued on May 03, 2017. Life of Site permit. Posted on office wall along with Operations Plan.
02 – Facility receives waste generated in Nash County only.
03 – Facility receives C&D waste, LCID waste, Asphalt, White Goods and Scrap metal. Tires are laced into box trailers.
04 – Facility has adequate signage.
05 – White Goods are being separated from other scrap metals and are upright.
06 – Reviewed incoming waste load records. Records had all required information.
07 – Certified Landfill Operations Specialist: Pamella L. Brinkley: expires 10/03/2020, Gregory Torrey: expires
05/09/2019, Sadie H. Tucker: expires 05/19/2018 and Emma Brantley: expires 05/24/2019.
08 – Working face of landfill is a small area.
09 – Due to rainfall and the bulldozer being broke down, there is quite a bit of C&D waste needing more cover material
placed over a large portion of the landfill.
10 – Bulldozer was being worked on during this inspection by a hired service company.
11 – Several Edge of Waste markers are missing and needs to be replaced.
12 – New groundwater monitoring wells were locked and tagged. The older wells were locked but still needs to be
tagged.
13 – Convenience site on CDLF footprint has replaced leaking compactor and leaking box bin that MSW waste was
being deposited in.
14 – Roads are made of All-Weather materials.
15 – New temporary Yard Waste site looks to be managed well at this time. The old Yard Waste site that caught on fire
has been leveled out and needs to be cleaned up as to plastic and other non-conforming waste is present.
16 – Some windblown trash noted on the East side of the C&DLF. Needs to be picked up.
17 – Digital pictures taken and attached.
