The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The Septage Land Application Site consists of Field 1 (6.33 acres) and Field 2 (2.28 acres) for a total of 8.61
usable acres.
2. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage (including portable toilet waste) and grease septage.
3. The site is located at 7337 Reeps Grove Church Road, Vale, NC and had accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application fields.
4. Appropriate signage was displayed at the site. 5. Field 1 disposal area boundaries were well delineated with permanent markers which corresponded to the site
map. A good stand of fescue was observed in both fields. Field 2 had cattle. As was noted in the previous inspections, there appeared to be one or two missing field markers along the back side to delineate the 50’ setback from the property line on North Eastern side of Field 2. In order to avoid violations, these
markers must be replaced.
6. All septage discharges appear to have been made within the disposal area boundary.
7. No evidence of standing liquid or pooled waste was observed. The waste appeared to have been evenly
distributed throughout the field.
8. No objectionable odors were observed.
