Dear NPDES Permittee:

Place in Harnett County was renewed effective 4/1/2024.You can access a copy of the DEQ renewal
letter and other records for your permit at this link:
https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WaterResources/Browse.aspx?dbid=0&startid=2956619
If this project has been completed and closed out or sold to another entity, please submit a Notice
of Termination (NOT) request at the link below
https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/NCGO1-Termination
N.C. DEMLR Stormwater Program has renewed General Permit NCG010000, under which the subject
project is covered. This permit is reissued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General
Statute 143-215. 1 and the Memorandum of Agreement between the state of North Carolina and the U. S.
Environmental Protection Agency, dated October 15, 2007 (or as subsequently amended). The Draft
General Permit was posted for public comment from February 13, 2024, to March 25, 2024. The new
General Permit became effective on April 1, 2024.
The General Permit authorizes discharges of stormwater, and it specifies your obligations for discharge
controls, management, monitoring, and record keeping. Please review the new NCG010000 permit to
familiarize yourself with the changes in the reissued permit. In addition, please see the Construction
Stormwater web page (https://www.deq.nc.gov/ncg01) to view the summary of changes from the
previous permit to the current permit document and the Responses to Comments document.
The more significant changes in the General Permit since your last Certificate of Coverage (COC)was
issued are noted in the Draft Permit Fact Sheet that accompanied the public notice posted on the
Stormwater Permitting Unit's website with the new General Permit
(https://www.deq.nc.gov/stormwaternotices). Permit COCs with no outstanding fees were automatically
renewed. However, a new COC will not be generated. This letter serves as notification that the
permittee's COC has been renewed and maintains coverage under the current General Permit. If the
renewal date above reflects a date later than April 1, it was renewed upon payment of an owed fee.
Please note that the process by which applicants obtain coverage under the NCG010000 will change
during this next permit cycle. The application process will be combined with the Erosion and
Sedimentation Control plan submittal for projects reviewed by NCDEQ. This combined process should
allow for a more efficient permitting experience in the future.
