The site groundwater recovery and treatment system was shut down on February 1,2019 as requested by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality(NCDEQ)-Division of Waste Management—Underground Storage Tank(UST)Section,and has remained offline since. The UST Section approved a request for permanent shut-down of the site groundwater recovery and treatment system in an Acknowledgement of Report Receipt letter dated August 6,2019(attached). In conjunction with this approval, Piedmont Geologic is requesting the termination of NPDES Certificate of Coverage NCG510527,effective immediately.
